Who we are
Thank you for your interest in The Potomac School! We look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Set on a beautiful 90-acre campus just three miles from Washington DC, Potomac is an independent, coeducational day school. There are currently 1,065 students enrolled in grades K-12 for the 2025-2026 school year.
At Potomac, we nurture students’ intellectual curiosity, develop their talents, and help them gain the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful future. Our richly varied curriculum provides both breadth and depth of understanding, and our dedicated, caring teachers encourage students to embrace new challenges and take a creative, hands-on approach to learning.
Along with intellectual development and love of learning, a Potomac education focuses on building character. Our core values – courage, integrity, respect, humility, and perseverance – guide everything that we do.
