Who we are
Catherine Cook School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community for age 3 through 8th Grade. Our whole-child approach focuses on academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and developing an innovator’s mindset so that students graduate as confident and compassionate leaders.
LEARN ABOUT CATHERINE COOK SCHOOL
GRADES: Preschool (Age 3) – Grade 8
LOCATION: 226 W. Schiller Street, Chicago, IL 60610 (less than two miles north of the Loop in Old Town).
AVERAGE CLASS SIZE: 10 - 18 students per class, 7:1 average student to teacher ratio
CAMPUS: Our 80,000 sq. ft. facility includes an expanded library with a cozy fireplace and a story time room, three science labs, two Tech Labs, and an IDEA Lab. The IDEA Lab includes a laser cutter/engraver, 3D printers, sewing machines, and various woodworking tools. The facility also includes two rooftop playgrounds, an outdoor green space, an indoor track, and a gymnasium with an optional stage. There are two Art Studios, two Music Studios, and a Movement Room.
