The Perkins School

Welcome to The Perkins School!  Our nimble, joyful and dynamic environment challenges students to think flexibly, work collaboratively, and take risks.  The heart of our school is our welcoming community.  We know each child well - and our teachers excel at motivating, inspiring and nurturing the students in their care.

Perkins Students are...

BRAVE: Perkins supports students to enable them to take risks.  When students feel supported, they are able to try out new ideas, learn from both mistakes and successes, and stand up for what they believe in.

CURIOUS: We know that children are naturally curious about the world around them.  The Perkins curriculum expands on their questions, provides them the tools to make discoveries for themselves and enables them to continue wondering.

EMPATHETIC: Perkins believes that a healthy, happy community requires everyone to respect and better understand each other.

JOYFUL: We respect childhood.  School should be a place students enjoy, where they have fun while learning so that they want to continue to grow and challenge themselves. Teachers at Perkins have a strong voice in all elements of school life.
