Who we are
The Cambridge School of Weston empowers curious, creative learners to become critical thinkers, problem solvers, and people of purpose.
We are a gender-inclusive day and boarding school community for grades 9-12, and a national leader in progressive education. Our community welcomes students of different races, genders, identities, cultures, and backgrounds to live out our values of inquiry-based learning, student agency, and embracing diverse perspectives. Our relevant, responsive curriculum is designed to prepare our students for the world they live in today and the one they will contribute to tomorrow. CSW graduates are prepared and inspired to take on whatever comes next in their lives, from college to their careers.
Our Module System provides students with an unparalleled depth of 200+ academic and co-curricular offerings taught by expert faculty, giving each student the flexibility to put their time, effort, and passion into what matters most to them (in addition to core foundations, of course). Our students learn how to learn—discovering by doing, asking difficult questions, advocating for their ideas, taking creative risks—and then putting what they learn into action on our campus and beyond.
Social justice, equity, and belonging are at the core of our identity as a school, which is why we introduced our first-of-its-kind social justice requirement that touches every aspect of our student experience, from our curriculum to the arts to community projects. In the classroom, in the lab, in the studio, on the playing field—and everywhere in between—our students develop the perspective and tools to become courageous activists, attentive allies, and stewards of the planet.
The skills and empathy our students develop here prepare them for distinctive futures as makers, innovators, leaders, and exceptional humans doing meaningful work in the world. That’s why CSW alumni can be found in every field and discipline, making their mark on the world with creativity, ingenuity, courage, and a deep commitment to living out their values.
