Children's Day School

At Children's Day School, what you learn and who you become are equally important.

Through our competency-based curriculum, students gain not just knowledge but durable skills that help them grow as individuals and prepare them for the future. Competencies unique to CDS, like use data strategically, lead my learning, solve problems creatively, and engage meaningfully in my community, are woven into relevant and memorable learning experiences. 

From preschool through grade 8, our approach to learning is active, inclusive, and joyful. We are a welcoming community in the big city, a farm and garden among urban streets, and a school that advocates for responsibility to others alongside individual achievement. 

Here, students learn that it’s important not just to know things but to use what they learn to make a difference. They graduate from CDS confident, with the humility to listen and the resolve to speak up for what they see as right.
