Trillium Academy

Trillium Academy breaks away from conventional schooling to celebrate the incredible capabilities of twice-exceptional (2e) students, providing them with the knowledge, tools, and experiences they need to discover and develop their talents and passions to live successful and enriching lives.

Twice-exceptional students are intellectually gifted and have a specific learning difference like dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and/or Autism. These students have complex learning profiles. They possess exceptional abilities alongside challenges that can mask their giftedness in traditional educational settings. Trillium is a haven for these twice-exceptional students who are often misunderstood.

At Trillium, we integrate advanced coursework, executive function coaching, and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for flexible, skills-based, engaged learning. We embrace our students' complexity and build educational experiences that are as nuanced and dynamic as they are with particular consideration for their strengths.

We are a passionate community committed to creating affirming, supportive, enriching, and positively challenging learning environments for 2e students and their families.

Our admissions process is unique in that prior to the formal submission of an application, we engage in discussions to build understanding about your prospective student, and to assess whether we can meet their needs and serve their strengths.
