Who we are
Applications are being accepted for grades 7-PG for the academic year 2026-2027.
The Newman School is a diverse vibrant learning community serving grades 7-12/PG graders. Founded in 1945 and located on Marlborough Street in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood, Newman serves students who come from Boston, surrounding towns, and 35 countries.
Newman offers the highly regarded International Baccalaureate, a rigorous program delivered by our exceptional faculty with expertise and heart. The IB curriculum is recognized by universities around the world for preparing students for success in college and beyond. Newman students are engaged in activities, sports and community service at school and throughout Boston, pursuing their passions in the “education city”.
