Who we are
Applications for the 2026–27 school year are now open! To begin the application process or to register for admissions events, press “Apply” at the top of this profile. Our admissions events are designed for incoming high school students, but families with younger students considering Drew School are also encouraged to attend one of our community events to get to know the school better. A list of these events can be found on our website.
Drew School is an independent, nonsectarian, coeducational college preparatory school serving grades 9–12. At Drew, kids break the mold instead of fitting into one.

Being Challenged Is Good
Being overwhelmed, not so much. We know that it's possible to balance an experiential, college-preparatory curriculum that rivals any other with a student’s sense of well-being and happiness. It’s no accident that we don’t throw our students into an academic pressure cooker. It’s entirely by design (and backed by science, to boot). It’s why so many of our students get into great colleges, and it’s why they excel once they’re there.

Shape the Present, Shape Your Future
We also think that kids achieve more when they have a say in how they learn—and teachers who really listen to them. That’s why we have small classes and faculty that have the time, flexibility, and desire to truly connect with their students. At Drew, you’ll have teachers who not only know your name, they’ll know your learning style … and probably where you left your retainer.

You Decide Who You Are—So Bring Yourself
We think everyone should have the opportunity to participate in extracurriculars and find out what lights them up. So you don’t have to be a prodigy to go out for theater, or climbing club, or sports, or student government at Drew. Try them all, if you like.

Kindness: It’s Part of the Curriculum
Here’s something else we’ve found: Everyone likes kind people. Seriously, in a society whose culture is rapidly moving toward emphasizing strength over empathy, power over tenderness, exclusion over acceptance, we’re saying “no, thank you.” You’ll find we have a culture where students lift each other up instead of tearing each other down.

The Tuition Assistance Process
We encourage families to apply for tuition assistance if applicable.
We understand that investing in a Drew education is a substantial commitment, and we aim to ensure that tuition does not become a barrier to entry. Socioeconomic diversity is essential to our mission of respecting, supporting, and centering teenagers and their experiences.
Applications are due by January 8 through Clarity.
