Nearly 75 years ago, Georgetown Day School was founded as the first integrated school in Washington, DC, and our School’s longstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion are grounded in that history. From Prekindergarten to Grade 12, our dynamic education experience is powered by joyful, engaged students and guided by talented teachers who identify and unleash each child's unique gifts, while instilling the value of working for the good of others.
When you visit our Lower/Middle School, you will witness the multitude of ways in which our youngest students embody the confidence, vibrancy, and independence that foster purposeful and active learning. At our High School, you will notice that our students are empathic, self-reliant, creative, and fully engaged in challenges that drive them.
