Welcome to Menlo!
Menlo is an independent, all-gender, college preparatory day school for students in grades 6 through 12, that inspires lives of meaning, impact, and joy. We empower students to explore and expand their interests, reach their fullest potential, develop the skills necessary for success in college, and become ethical, responsible, and engaged members of ever wider communities.
At Menlo, students discover their best selves. Our dynamic, innovative program empowers engaged learners to grow their curiosity, bolster their confidence, and deepen their understanding. Middle School students have the opportunity to compete in 12 interscholastic sports, and all students are encouraged to participate in the experience of being part of a team.

Over 80% of Upper School students participate in athletics each year. Menlo offers 21 sports at the varsity level, with 44 teams at all levels of competition.

Arts: All students in both the Middle and Upper School participate in a wide range of creative offerings, including visual art, drama, dance, moviemaking, photography, chorus, and chamber orchestra.

STEM opportunities: Our STEM offerings are innovative and hands-on. In Middle School, in addition to core math and science classes, every student takes computer science/design thinking. In the Upper School, we offer a broad range of electives and advanced courses. Whitaker Lab, our maker space and engineering lab, is complete with a robotic area and machine shop where students engage in design and engineering classes, neuroscience, and biotech classes
