Menlo is an independent, all-gender, college preparatory day school for students in grades 6 through 12, dedicated to inspiring lives of meaning, impact, and joy. We help students explore and expand their interests, reach their fullest potential, and build the skills they need to thrive in college and beyond — growing into ethical, responsible, and engaged members of ever-widening communities.

Athletics

• Middle School students can compete in 12 interscholastic sports, and all students are encouraged to join a team.
• More than 75% of Upper School students play a sport each year, choosing from 21 varsity sports and 44 teams across all levels of competition.

Arts: Every Middle and Upper School student takes part in a wide range of creative offerings — visual art, drama, dance, moviemaking, photography, chorus, and chamber orchestra.

STEM: Our STEM program is innovative and hands-on. In the Middle School, every student takes computer science and design thinking alongside core math and science. In the Upper School, a broad range of electives and advanced courses awaits — many of them in Whitaker Lab, our maker space and engineering lab, complete with a robotics area and machine shop where students dive into design, engineering, neuroscience, and biotech.

World Languages: French, Latin, Mandarin, and Spanish.
