Boston University Academy

Boston University Academy provides an unparalleled college preparatory program for students with genuine intellectual curiosity, strong academic abilities, and a diversity of interests. Located on the Boston University campus, BUA offers students in grades nine through twelve a ceilingless educational experience, one in which students’ zeal for learning takes them as far as they are capable. Small class sizes and close relationships with faculty allow students to pursue their passions and nurture their talents. At BUA, ambitious students find a community that supports and celebrates their growth, not only as thinkers, but also as individuals.

Boston University Academy’s core curriculum serves as a foundation for the critical thinking and inquiry skills. Ninth and tenth grade students follow a liberal arts program, while upperclassmen take courses offered by the Academy in addition to enrolling in courses at Boston University. Students regularly complete up to twelve courses (approx. 48 college credits) from the University’s undergraduate curriculum prior to graduation.
